Beeb me up North - or down South?

Based on the content of her hate-fuelled articles for the Daily Mail (which we can safely describe as the "Daily Hate"), this woman is someone whose articles champion a far-right-skirting, homophobic, xenophobic ranteuse type of journalism. Yet having said this, with the below article she is actually making a (rare) fair point; namely that the BBC's relocation of key studios and functions to other parts of the UK is indeed far from the correct move to make in the current climate. Creatives need to think creatively (Copyright Ministry of the Bleeding Obvious), and in moving a large part of their organisation, including the studios used for many of their most popular programmes to different sites, at vast cost in a time of austerity, the BBC have definitely not made a creative decision, more one borne of the confusion of randomness.

But to the author herself. Despite the fair point she is making, it is still a shame that she has to rant about it, again! Tweet, cajole, explain, write, fb-it, myspice it, tumbl-lo...whatever, but there is no need to RANT! Oh and is it really necessary to get in a snipe at the previous Labour government too, with the highly contentious conspiracy theory that they were keen to "gerrymander the electoral map by creating well-paid, publicly funded jobs in Labour constituencies." That government were far from the brilliant success they should have been, but this just sounds like sour grapes. And it is irrelevant to the story. Shouldn't we be focusing on what is happening in the here and now rather than creating stories analysing (or should that be scandalmongering) about the past?

The W urges you to THINK Melanie, think before you write!

PS. This article is not a rant, more a critique of an article and its subject matter - in case anyone wants to chcuk the eggs back at this writer!
